Familiar: Odd-eyed, creepy looking cat named Suzu
Background:
Mizuki comes from a rural muggle area in Yamagata, where his father owns a fruit orchard and sings enka on the side. His magical talent was first discovered when his parents found him changing the colour of his clothing and the walls. Thinking their only son was possessed, they took him to the local temple, where the priest explained things and persuaded them to allow Mizuki to be enrolled in basic magical education. Mizuki relished the freedom from the mundane that magic allowed him, and never wanted to look back. He did well in magical school and was easily admitted into the Acadamy.
Embarrassed by his less-than-glamorous heritage, Mizuki is purposefully vague about his family history and attempts to maintain an air of mysterious charm. He was sorted into Botan due to his ambition and desire for prestige, but has never really managed to fit in with his peers. He is sometimes late for start of term as he has to help with the harvest at home.
